PRODUCT PICK OF THE WEEK
Now that the nasty cold, dry weather has set in everyone here in New York seems to be getting the holiday skin blues. I've even seen a bit more of the Botox® going around lately as easily as if clients were toasting cocktails.
With so many holiday parties going on how do we set our best foot forward and hope that our faces don't look so wrinkly or dull next to the glow of the holiday lights?
That is why the Olay Microdermabrasion and Peel system is my product pick of the week. I have to admit that I myself was once guilty of thinking drugstore brands were inferior, but Olay seems to be the dark horse of the anti-aging product race.
Just the other day one of my clients came in complaining about how her face seemed more wrinkly than usual. I took out this very product and used it as directed. When I put the mirror up to her face she felt both embarrassed for not having trusted me and relieved that she could do something at home.
The ONLY reason I even got turned on to this product to begin with is a few years back I got hired to do the makeup for the Olay commercial for this very product. We began the first scene of the commercial with the model's face in full makeup. Given that she was no spring chicken I had to craftfully apply the makeup so it didn't look too apparent for her close-up.
Then we got to the second scene where she was in the bathroom applying the product and rinsing it.
I was shocked to see how nice her skin looked after that! I was even more upset that I had to work so hard to camouflage her imperfections when all I had to do was exfoliate the dead skin from her face.
That ladies (and gents) is why even though this is an old product, it's still effective and my product pick of the week!
How's that for anti-aging on a budget!
Speak to you soon,
Mary Schook

Hello! Thank you for this tip. I agree with you Olay products are quite nice indeed. We used to be able to get the make-up here in Canada but not anymore
;-(
which is a shame because they were a good drugstore brand.
People should read this.
