I am a licensed cosmetologist with 14 years in the business, always striving to stay on the edge of all the chemical advances in texture services constantly being developed and refined. I really want to know more about the 'Brazilian Blowout' that was written about in Allure Mag/Oct issue. Am I failing to bring the latest miracle treatment to my market or are the most effective products available to truly achieve the results as hazardous as I've heard?

I would like to know about afforable permanent hair removal. What works and what doesn't.

1) How can I get rid of white heads?
2) What causes skin tags? How can I prevent them? Do you need to
have a dermatologist to remove them?
3) How do you prevent the thickening of skin on your fingers where I

obtain blood drops for a diabetic test? It is similar to a callous.
4) I have white marks on my finger nails, what causes this &
prevention? My finger nails are also not smooth, I have small ridges
on
my nails. Cause and affect??

How do I know the makeup products I'm buying are good quality? Does more expensive mean better quality or not necessarily?

I am in my mid 40's and am interested in makeup for my age. Most makeups, especially foundations seem to leave my skin looking older than it is. I love a dewy look that radiates my skin. I have tried so many products on the market with little sucess. There must be some tricks...with a better moisturizer...or skin prep product...something! that someone has found for us baby boomers.
The mineral makeup that is such a rage currently... definitely makes lines on my skin that I don't have.

How does porfessional make-up artists think about mineral make-up? is it better for everyday use or on film?

I am 49, have rosacea (for which I use a topical med as well as taking an antibiotic), some broken capillaries in the nose and cheek area; and slightly enlarged pores on my nose. Right now, I cannot afford to get the capillaries fixed. I use ColorScience primer in yellow which helps counteract the red.
I use Clarins liquid foundation and am not always pleased with results. I have also tried mineral foundations, but they highlight rather than cover the pores in my nose.

Anyway, my basic question is what type of foundation would you recommend for me?

Thanks, Saphara

I use a yellow primer which helps with the red. I have been using a liquid foundation ( $40.00+ cost) and have not been pleased with the results. The mineral foundations I have tried emphasize the pores on my nose.

I have read that spray-on foundation might be helpful. What foundation would you recommend for me? Skin is normal/oily and fair.

Thanks so much

How can you make your hair longer and thicker? I use to have really nice long and healthy hair but after all the flat ironing and blowdrying which I have recently stopped I really damaged my hair and had to cut it to make it healthier. How do I get it to grow fast, thicker and become healthy?

I have HUGE puppy dog eyes. Sometimes I am not too sure what type of line I should be making to make my eyes look... good. If I put too little eye liner on you can see the droopy shape and if I put too much on I stand out way too much. PLEASE- need some advise on Big Eyes and Eyeliner.

I've noticed a ton of press lately about led turning up in a good deal of beauty products. Is there any way to tell which products have led? It's not exactly listed.

Thank you
